Intermittent Shock & AccelerationIntermittent
Shock Testing CRT Laboratories uses several apparatus to meet most (or all) intermittent shock test methods, and custom client requirements. One the intermittent shock tests is used to test water hammer arrestors in accordance with ASSE 1010. In this intermittent shock test, a water stream is suddenly brought to a halt in a 50-foot section of pipe using CRT’s fast acting ball valve. An oscilloscope and pressure transducer measures the shock pressure after 10,000 cycles including 5,000 cycles performed at elevated temperature. With such a long history of performing hundreds of
intermittent shock tests,
many unusual, CRT is able to set up conditions in a timely manner without going
through excessive set up, procurement, and associated learning curves. This means CRT can out perform competing labs with quick response time.
